Greenbrier Physicians’ Ophthalmology department specializes in the treatment of disorders of the eye including glaucoma, cataracts, dry eyes, macular degeneration. Our services include diagnostic and surgical care for the treatment of conditions affecting the anterior or front portion of the eye.

Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Arvan worked as an ophthalmologist from 1984 – 1995 in his home country. He brings twenty years of experience in the surgical and therapeutic treatment of the ocular pathology and ten years of experience in ophthalmology scientific research to his practice with Greenbrier Physicians. He finished his second Ophthalmology residency in 1999 at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and completed a fellowship in 2004 at the University of Louisville in KY. He began his practice at Greenbrier Physicians in July 2004.  Dr. Arvan resides with his family in Lewisburg, WV.

Dr. Savannah Long is a West Virginia native, raised in Charleston, WV. She received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2014. She then completed her residency in Ocular Disease at Bascom Palmer Eye Insitute in Miami, Florida, consistently ranked as the number one eye hospital in the United States.  Dr. Long has been practicing in Denver, Colorado since 2015, with a clinical focus on glaucoma, cornea and cataract care. Dr. Long is excited to begin serving the residents of Greenbrier and the surrounding counties with the highest level of eye care.
